Youth Umpires Needed for Fall 2026 8U Program!
LGSL provides youth umpires for the 8U age division. The Youth Umpire Program is open to any boy or girl that is at least 13 years old, or will be turning 13 years old in the current year. Games for the 8U age division are on Monday evenings and Saturdays. More information about becoming a Youth Umpire will be sent as we get closer to the start of the current season. Who We Are
Leesburg Girls Softball League serves all girls ages 4-18 who live or attend school in the greater Leesburg area. Established in 1997, LGSL provides a high quality, fun and safe softball environment to all girls ages 4-18 regardless of ability or playing experience.
LGSL offers recreational softball for the following age groups:
- 6U T-Ball
- 8U Machine Pitch
- 10U Player Pitch
- 12U Player Pitch Pitch
- Senior Division
Team placement varies by age division. Players at the 6U level are placed on teams by the House League Director. For the 8U age division team placement is a collaborative effort between the House League Directors and the team coaches. The League uses a player evaluation and draft format for the 10U through Senior Division.
LGSL is a proud member of the Loudoun County Softball Alliance, a partnership of independent softball leagues in Loudoun County. This alliance allows each local league to offer a consistent, high level of competition and share best practices to ensure we all deliver the best softball experience possible for all Loudoun County residents conveniently in their own communities.
